This video demonstrates how to make a notebook with ribbon binding. Take a stalk of plain white paper and it would be 5 1/2" long and 8" wide. Fold it in half. Trim off the excess with a ruler. Then align the edges of the white paper. Put this in a cardstock which is 8 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" long. Cover rapid around the white paper stalk to make sure that it the spine is bounded. Take the grid ruler and center it and mark the center and also 1" from the center at each side to the left and right of the center. By using a paper piercer make holes in the paper stalk and the cover through these three points. Take a very slim ribbon in a needle adjust both the ends of the ribbon to meet. Start to sew through one of the hole at the edge then back through the opposite hole. At the same time the central hole is still empty. Tie the ends of the ribbon in a very steady double knot and then take the other end and sew through the middle hole and then back again through the same hole, then into the middle hole again. Then make it a tie with the first edge and underneath the first then out again through the middle hole again. Then snip off the ribbon and tied out the note book with the two ends and it look pretty . That is the binding of the notebook is done. Enjoy..
